Life By You, Highly Anticipated The Sims Competitor, Gets Summer Release Date
Life by You, the highly anticipated life sim from Paradox Interactive, has finally landed an early-access release date. After a short delay, the upcoming The Sims 4 competitor is scheduled to launch on PC on June 4, 2024. The game will be available to preorder and purchase through both Steam and the Epic Games Store.
First teased back in March 2023, Life by You aims to give players more control over their game than any life sim before it. In the game’s most recent press release, Paradox Interactive wrote, “This world is your sandbox. Create your humans, or play anyone within it–swap control at any time with any character you encounter. You can climb a career ladder, choose to be a misfit, fall in love as often as you change your clothes, or explore your sexuality.”

I recently got the chance to attend a hands-off preview for Solar Ash to get eyes on how the game looked outside an orchestrated trailer. Despite the seemingly effortless movement behind protagonist Rei’s actions, there was a palpable tension surrounding her as she skated over clouds, grinded across rails, and dashed from one end of a room to another. Since I didn’t have the chance to try out the game myself, I couldn’t tell, but it seemed as if every movement was carefully calculated.
With how graceful Rei was moving through the level, it all looked rather simple. But if the repeated efforts to correctly maneuver through the same time-based puzzle or multiphase boss fight were any indication, Solar Ash is anything but simple.

Developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio dropped a new Lost Judgment trailer during the State of Play livestream showcasing some of the investigations and hijinks players will experience. We also learned the details of a free PS5/Xbox Series X|S upgrade that will be available to last-gen buyers.
The trailer sees protagonist Takayuki Yagami clambering up walls, jumping off rooftops, and beating up dudes. There are some mini games to participate in, like boxing, dancing, street racing, and skateboarding. You can even walk a very good Corgi–who also bites some dude’s finger.

The kart racer Disney Speedstorm has already included a wide selection of racers from new and classic films across Disney animation, Pixar, and even live-action franchises. But so far the game has not invited Maleficent to join the competition, and we all know how she feels about being snubbed. Gameloft has announced Maleficent will join with a Limited-Time Event during Season 9, Part 2, and we have a first look at the trailer.
Maleficent is a Trickster racer, meaning her class specializes in disrupting other racers and has an enhanced speed boost ability. Her unique ability, Mistress of Evil, has two applications. The standard attack has her raise her staff to call down lightning on the track in front of her, and successful hits will gain her a flame. Under the charged version, collecting six flames will activate her Dragon form, transforming Maleficent and her kart into a dragon that flies (in autopilot) at increased speed, and takes out any racers in her…
Read moreLost Ark 302 Gear- How To Get (And Upgrade) An Endgame Gear Set
Lost Ark is a tried-and-true MMORPG, and just like any MMO, players will be spending the bulk of their time in the endgame. In Lost Ark, the endgame begins once you’ve hit level 50 and progressed the main story enough to unlock endgame content like Chaos Dungeons, but that’s just scratching the surface. In addition to Chaos Dungeons, there are Guardians Raids, Abyssal Dungeons, new story content, islands to explore, and much, much more.
However, in order to get full access to the entirety of Lost Ark’s endgame and continue raising your item level, you’ll need an endgame gear set that can be upgraded using the honing system. Endgame gear isn’t something you’ll obtain naturally on your road to level 50. All the gear you’ve earned over the course of your leveling adventure isn’t up to snuff, and won’t allow you to continue progressing your character. Thankfully, getting an endgame gear set isn’t all that complicated. There are two main ways to deck out your character wi…
